Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Publisher Powerhouse Demo is an independent newsletter publication. We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national privacy laws.

2. What data we collect

Email address (required to subscribe). First name and last name (optional). Email interaction data (opens, clicks) for analytics. IP address and browser information for security and fraud prevention. Cookie consent preference (stored locally on your device).

3. How we use your data

To send you our newsletter (with your explicit consent). To improve our content based on engagement analytics. To comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how you interact with our site. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten), withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Data retention

We retain subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribing, we retain anonymised engagement data for analytics for up to 12 months.

7. Contact

For privacy-related requests, please email us via the contact information on our website. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

Puzzles, games and the reader competition

You can play our puzzles without giving any personal data. To take part in the competition you choose a screen name; an e-mail address is optional and is used only to send you your personal link and to recover it, never for marketing. Your screen name appears in the public ranking only when you tick that box. The newsletter box is never pre-ticked: you are subscribed only when you tick it yourself. We store your screen name, your scores, badges and puzzle progress. To prevent abuse we keep a non-reversible code of your IP address with each entry for at most 30 days. Your personal link is a random code; only a hashed version of it is stored. You can change your screen name and delete all your game data at any time on your personal page. Players who have not played for 24 months are deleted automatically. The legal basis is the performance of the service you request (taking part) and, for the newsletter, your consent.
